Rye

Rye is a beautiful medieval town just inland from Camber Sands, known for its cobbled streets, independent shops, historic buildings, pubs, galleries and views across Romney Marsh. Mermaid Street, the Landgate and the church area are especially worth exploring on foot.

It is a good choice for a relaxed morning or afternoon away from the beach, with plenty of places to eat and browse.
